FAQs

You may find the answers to your questions right here...

Below we have compiled a list of the more frequently asked questions.

1. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payment in cash, credit/debit card, Venmo, and Zelle.

2. Is a reservation required prior to travel?
A reservation is not required but highly recommended prior to the date and time service is needed. SAS&T does not operate like a taxi or an Uber. We do not have vehicles posted up and on-call at the airport and we can’t guarantee immediate service if contacted at the very moment that service is needed. We are a private car service specializing in personalized service, and this is best accomplished by contacting us ahead of the date and time of your travel. Having said this, even if you forget to call ahead and make a reservation don’t assume that we are not available.
Give us a call and we will do whatever we can to accommodate you.

3. Do I need to confirm after my reservation is made?

No, once the reservation is made your driver will contact you to "re-confirm" no later than the afternoon before the day your service is scheduled.

4. Do you have child car seats available?

Yes, we can provide a clean, sanitary, forward facing child car seat upon request.

5. How long before my flight should I arrive at Sarasota - Bradenton international Airport (SRQ)?

Many believe that if they don't  arrive at SRQ 2-3 hours before their flight they may risk missing their flight. This is simply NOT the case at SRQ.... While SRQ aspires to be a "big city" airport it is still a small "regional" airport in terms of size/layout, passenger traffic, and number of flights. SRQ has only one terminal.  It takes between  5-7 minutes to walk (at a normal pace) from the furthest gate to baggage claim.  Depending upon the time of year getting through TSA should take you 15-20 minutes at most  and even faster for those travelers with TSA pre-screen.

We recommend that you plan to be there 1.5 - 2 hours before your flight departs.  Unfortunately, for those travelers who chose to drive themselves and not ride with SAS&T their biggest problem will be finding a long-term parking spot, hundreds of yards from the terminal. Those folks probably do need to be at the airport 3 hours early!

6. How much experience does your driver have?

Your driver, and owner/operator, has 7 years experience driving passengers for hire with a spotless safety record during this time.  Additionally, he is extremely knowledgeable about every facet of life in S.W. Florida, having been a  resident for 28 years. Feel free to ask him any questions you have about where to go, what to do, weather to expect, etc.--just like you would ask a travel agent or a concierge at a fancy hotel!

7. Does the rate I was quoted include tip?

Gratuity did not come into consideration when establishing the rate you were quoted. That amount is all that is required from you. However, If you feel we exceeded your expectations your driver will not turn down an offer for more, and will graciously accept anything extra.

8. What if I need to Cancel?

Since we don't require payment up front for the vast majority of the jobs that we do, we greatly appreciate it if you let us know as soon as possible when you discover the need to cancel. Although SAS&T is a small transportation business, we are often in high demand. Notifying us early of the need to cancel gives us  the ability to re-capture any business lost as a result of your cancelled reservation.

For those jobs where payment has been taken by credit card in advance of the date of service we will provide a refund, no questions asked, if cancellation is made 48 hours from the date and time of service. If the cancellation is within 48 hours we ask that you provide "good cause" for the cancellation before a refund will be issued.
